House System & Captains

Each pupil is allocated to one of four ‘houses’ when they join the school:

Caerlaverock

Drumlanrig

Hoddom

Threave

Points are awarded for behaviour, achievements and other worthwhile events. They are tallied at the end of the week, and in assembly the team with the highest points, is awarded the house shield. This is then decorated by the team captain, in house colours.

Well done to all our Primary 7 pupils who put themselves forward to be elected as House Captain. They all confidently delivered inspiring speeches to their respective House members, who were then given the opportunity to vote for their chosen House Captain. The votes were extremely close but we are pleased to congratulate our newly appointed representatives who will be taking on the leadership role of House Captain and Vice Captain within the school.
