Here we take the time to recognise celebrations that your child has achieved outside of school as well as for special school events and competitions.

Session 2025- 2026

Term 2:

Primary 6 Bikeability Sessions

The final Primary 6 Bikeability session took place on Wednesday morning this week. Mrs Alston and Mrs Swan, IBike Instructors, were very impressed at the effort and enthusiasm from our Primary 6 pupils throughout the sessions!  We look forward to our pupils putting their new skills to good use in the future on the roads in and around Dumfries.

Level 1 Achievers:

Dumfries Y Gymnastics Club Championships

• Well done to Amelia in Primary 5 who won 1^st place for her floor work, 2^nd for vault and 2^nd overall for her level 5 category.
• Well done to Amelia-Grace in Primary 3 who achieved a 5^th place medal.
• Well done to Isla in Primary 4 for her forward roll, v-sit balance, back support, straight jump and cat leap.
• Well done to Joel in Primary 7 who achieved 1^st place for vault, 1^st place for floor work and 1^st place overall.

Congratulations also go to Campbell in Primary 4 and Ruby in Primary 1 who both took part in the Story Garden Summer Reading Challenge. They shared with us at assembly the type of books they’ve been reading for enjoyment.

Isla in Primary 3 enjoyed her first class at Next Level School of Dance.

Congratulations to Lennox in Primary 7 who achieved The John Harkness Trophy last Saturday at Dumfries Cricket Club for Under 11s Batting Award – Most Runs. What a fantastic achievement Lennox, we are all very proud of you.

Well done to Romeo in Primary 6 who has now achieved Swim Skills Level 3 Award and developed more advanced stroke technique and achieved Basic Water Safety Skills.

Finally, congratulations to Ruby in Primary 4 has been awarded a Seconder at Brownies. We hope she enjoys her new role.

Well done to Ella in Primary 2 who has done amazingly well in their first class at Ultimate Dance Effect and also has been awarded ‘Dancer of the Day’.

Congratulations to Isla in Primary 4 for taking part in Story Garden Summer Reading Challenge.

Fantastic achievement for Sasha in Primary 5 who has become the winner of Open Fine Art Competition 2025 in the Yellow Door among Category under 12.  He attended a prize giving on 22/8/25

Well done to Jensen in Primary 4 who has recently achieved Locharbriggs, 5-A-sides football Player of the Tournament 2025

Angus in Primary 6 has achieved a medal for representing Heston Football Club at the Kilwinning Rangers Football Festival.

Piper and Erin in Primary 4 were successful in completing their Summer Reading Challenge, sponsored by Story Garden reading.

Erin in Primary 4 also achieved a High Merit in her Graded Examination in Dance.

Isla in Primary 4 achieved ‘Session Super Star’ at Dumfries Y Gymnastics Club.
