STEM Group

We have formed a new committee to focus on these exciting and very varied topics of learning.

STEM stands for :

SCIENCE

TECHNOLOGY

ENGINEERING

MATHEMATICS

Primary 2 are our STEM Committee.

Here are our STEM Committee presenting at assembly on 20/09/24 to tell the rest of the school what they had planned for Maths Week.

Primary 2 and Mrs Glendinning have been very busy planning some fun and exciting activities for Maths Week which will run from Monday 23rd September to Friday 27th September. Each class will have a learning event which will either take place in the hall or in their classroom.

We would like to invite parent/carers from each class to join us for these learning events. Please find the dates and times below. We look forward to welcoming you for some problem solving and fun!

2023/2024 session

Our Primary 1 and Primary 2 pupils, along with our Eco Committee Reps, Mrs Glendinning and Mrs Alston have been working very hard to put together an exciting whole school STEM and Eco learning day on Tuesday, 18th June 2024.

Pupils will take part in a variety of different activities, along with others from their House, these activities are named, with the help of Eco and STEM Committees: Magnetic Magic, Wild Wind, Marble Maze, Flying Food, Brilliant Bridges, Maths Mystery, Crazy Coding and Blooming Bombs.

Pupils should come to school in sports clothes and coat/jacket (as some sessions are outside), similar to when we have a Health Day. Pupils should also bring their water bottle, break time snack, and packed lunch if they are not choosing a school lunch option on this day. No book bags are needed on this day.
